Ashleigh Barty (born April 24, 1996) is an Australian Professional Tennis Player and Former Cricketer from Ipswich, Queensland. Recently, she won the French Open 2019 which makes her the first Australian woman in 46 years to do so.
Furthermore, the 23-year-old player beat her opponent “Marketa Vondrousova”. She obtained her first Grand Slam title with a 6-1 6-3 score. Moreover, Ashleigh Barty is the top-ranked Australian in both women’s singles and doubles.
Last year, the tennis player grabbed the 2018 US Open title in doubles with her partner CoCo Vandeweghe. Barty started her professional career at the age of 14 at an International Tennis Federation in April 2010.
