Anne Hathaway just beat Kelly Clarkson at her own game—literally.

The two stars participated in a game of Sing That Name That Tune on Clarkson's daytime talk show, and though Hathaway was already winning, the band decided to give Clarkson a chance by playing her own hit song "Since U Been Gone." Still, it was the Devil Wears Prada actress who, just seconds into the track, stepped up to the buzzer and belted out the lyrics.

Realizing what had just happened, Clarkson dropped to her knees.

"How? How did you know it from just that?" the singer asked Hathaway after the actress's spectacular performance.

"Kelly Clarkson, if you do not understand how much we all love that song—everybody here knew it on the first one," Hathaway said.

"This is embarrassing," Clarkson admitted.

Clarkson posted a clip and photo of Hathaway's guest appearance—and her game win—on the show's Instagram. Hathaway wore a geometric-print maxi dress by Paco Rabanne, and Clarkson wore a colorful midi dress by Zimmermann.

"Anne killed Kelly!" game show host Matt Iseman commented.

Apart from the irony of Hathaway's win, show viewers couldn't get over her amazing singing skills—which, of course, we already knew about, thanks to her Oscar-winning performance in the 2012 remake of Les Misérables.

"Anne Hathaway will be doing a Kelly Clarkson tribute show in Vegas," Iseman joked. "What was that?"

"I love that song, I love that song," Hathaway said.

"Should I just quit?" Clarkson said with a laugh.

"By the way, never fall for Hathaway when she tells you she's scared to sing," Iseman added.
